Days 1 and 2 / Origin - Hanói
Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide for the transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free.
Day 3 / Hanói
Pick up from the hotel for a culinary tour of the best culinary spots in Hanoi with an LGBTQ+ guide. The tour begins with an introduction to the local food scene with a hearty bowl of noodle soup with Pho, Vietnam’s quintessential street food. Your guide will also share stories from the LGBTQ+ community in the capital. You will also enjoy a one-hour rickshaw tour to observe the capital. From there, you will head to the bustling Chau Long market, where the guide will demystify the local produce and have you sample some of the more exotic dishes and ingredients. During the day, other places of interest will be visited by car or on foot. The tour lasts 4 hours and ends with a typical Vietnamese coffee or che (Vietnamese tea) and local sweets. You will end up in one of the cafes in the old town for a well-deserved rest and coffee, and then return to the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Breakfast is included.
Day 4 / Hanói - Ha Long
After breakfast, departure by road (3.5 hours drive) to Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin. This gulf is the largest in Vietnam, with more than 1,600 islands and islets, most of which are uninhabited. Arrival in Halong and embarkation on the junk. Lunch will be served on board while the cruise to the bay begins. In the afternoon, you can do some sightseeing and activities, or just spend some time relaxing on board. Dinner is also served on board. Accommodation in Ha Long Bay.
Note: Visits or activities may vary depending on the itinerary of each junk. The tour guide will be replaced by a local guide on board during the cruise.
Day 5 / Ha Long Bay - Hue
Breakfast on board and last chance to enjoy the bay. The cruise ends around 11 am. Disembark and return to Hanoi airport to fly to Hue. Upon arrival, welcome by the guide and transfer to the hotel to rest. The rest of the day is free to explore the city.
Day 6 / Hue - Hoi An
After breakfast, pick up at the hotel. You will take a cruise on the Huong River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, located on the river bank, followed by a visit to the tomb of Minh Mang. In the afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel, a complex covering an area of 520 hectares comprising three circles: the Hue Capital Citadel, the Royal Citadel and the Forbidden Citadel. Finally, visit to the Mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh. After this tour, transfer to Hoi An city by car (2.5 hours), where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
Day 7 / Hoi An
After breakfast, visit the charming old quarter of Hoi An, an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port during the 15th to 19th centuries. Many of the city’s buildings reflect historic architectural styles and the entire city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, visit the Phuc Kien Pagoda and the Japanese wooden bridge. In the afternoon, boat trip on the Thu Bon River during sunset and return to the hotel.
Day 8 / Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the next stop, Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, welcome by an LGBTQ+ guide and start of the city tour. You will visit places such as the former Presidential Palace (Reunification Palace, now a museum), the Cathedral of “Notre-Dame” (from the 19th century), the Central Post Office, the historic center, the Hotel de Ville and the opera house. The rest of the day is free.
Day 9 / Ho Chi Minh City
Free morning to continue exploring Ho Chi Minh City. Around 4 pm, you will meet your guide at the hotel for an excursion on a vintage Vespa. You will walk through some of the busiest streets and landmarks of the city. Dinner stop at a cocktail bar run by a creative bartender and passionate chef who works for 5* hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. Together, they have prepared a special menu that will delight you. If time allows, you can continue strolling through the center of town, walking through a bustling old apartment complex that is home to more than 2,000 residents and hundreds of food stalls to see how the locals live. The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours. Afterwards, return to the hotel and rest of the time at leisure.
Day 10 / Ben Tre (Mekong Delta)
After breakfast, 2-hour drive to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Here you can learn about typical activities such as fishing, traditional brick making, visit one of the coconut processing or mat making workshops, as well as taste local fruits and tea. Other popular activities include taking a boat ride on the canals and watching the traditional life around the water or discovering the green rice fields and vegetable plains by car or bicycle to discover the culture of the farmers. Lunch at Hai Hồ’s house (on your own). In the afternoon, sampan ride on the canal, before returning by boat to Ham Luông pier. After finishing the tour, return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 11 / Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao Islands
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to fly to Con Dao. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure.
Days 12 and 13 / Con Dao Islands
Con Dao is an archipelago of 16 islets, of which only Con Son is inhabited. They are little frequented by tourists, so it is the perfect place for a well-deserved rest after this exciting tour of Vietnam in a natural environment. During these days you can do water activities in its incredible turquoise blue waters such as scuba diving and snorkeling, hiking around the island or even visit other islands.
Days 14 and 15 / Con Dao Islands - Origin
This trip is unfortunately coming to an end. We hope you have enjoyed this wonderful experience in Vietnam to the fullest. At the scheduled time, return to Con Dao airport to Ho Chi Minh City, where you will catch your flight back home.
